JV girls play hard but lose to Nordhoff

The JV girls put up a good fight but were overpowered by Nordhoff 45-26 Friday. The JV squad is playing much better than the start of the season, with several of the girls showing promise for the varsity next year. Turnovers and missed shots have plagued the team all season.Nancy Roman led the way on the scoreboard for the Lady Cards. She had 6 points, 4 steals and 9 rebounds. Irma Rivera hit for 5 points, including a 3-point shot. She also had 3 steals. Lanejia Delgadillo followed with 4 points, 4 steals and 1 rebound.The JV girls play Oaks Christian at Home Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in their final game of the year.
