EDC-VC installs new officers, new board members

Economic Development Collaborative- Ventura County (EDC-VC) President Michele Pettes announces the officers and board members installed at the organization’s 9th Annual Meeting. Chris Meissner, president of Meissner Filtration in Camarillo , is chair of the EDC-VC, Santa Paula Council Member Mary Ann Krause is vice chair, and Dave White Jr., co-founder of Channel Islands Building & Development Partners, Inc. in Oxnard , is treasurer. New board members include Ventura City Council Member Ed Summers, Simi Valley City Council Member Barbra Williamson and Andy Carrasco of The Gas Company. “Chris, Mary Ann and Dave have been integral members of EDC-VC’s executive board for many years. With the addition of the three new boardmembers, EDC-VC will continue to be guided by outstanding professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of Ventura County’s business environment and are committed to facilitating its growth,” Pettes said.A Camarillo resident, Meissner was the 2005 vice chair of EDC-VC and has served on the board since 1998. Krause was elected to the Santa Paula City Council in 2002, served as the city’s mayor in 2005 and is the chair-elect of the Ventura Council of Governments. White, also a Camarillo resident, has served on the EDC-VC board since 2003 and was chair in 2004.EDC-VC is a private, nonprofit organization that serves as a business-to-government liaison to assist businesses in Ventura County by offering programs that enhance the economic vitality of the region.
