Classified professionals in the Santa Paula Union High School District will be honored by students, parents, district administration and teachers during statewide “Classified School Employee Week” May 21 through 27. Classified professionals include secretaries, custodians, paraeducators, bus drivers, clerks, warehouse workers and many other support employees in California’s schools and community colleges.The 1986 law that declares the third week of every May as statewide Classified School Employee Week resulted from legislation sponsored by CSEA. The union represents more than 213,000 classified professionals in California.
