The Ventura County Rose Society will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, October 25, 2007, at a new location - Ventura County Office of Education Conference Center at 5100 Adolfo Road Camarillo.
The Ventura County Rose Society will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, October 25, 2007, at a new location - Ventura County Office of Education Conference Center at 5100 Adolfo Road Camarillo. The new building is off of the 101 Freeway and Santa Rosa Rd north. The doors will open at 6:30 P.M. beginning with questions and answers by Consulting Rosarians. At 7:00 PM, a rose show with many kinds of roses will be shown and discussed. Attendees are welcome to bring in roses to display and share. Our featured speaker will be Tom Carruth, rose hybridizer for Weeks Roses, who will introduce the new roses for 2008 and beyond. Mr. Carruth is noted for hybridizing these roses: “Hot Cocoa”, “Fourth of July” “Marilyn Monroe”, “Moonstone” and many other American Rose Society winners.
