Former Santa Paula resident Robin Rybarczyk has been awarded a plaque as “Best Science Teacher in the State of Oregon.”

Former Santa Paula resident Robin Rybarczyk has been awarded a plaque as “Best Science Teacher in the State of Oregon.” The daughter of Bill and Marian Rybarczyk of Santa Paula, she teaches middle school science at Ashbrook Independent School in Corvallis, Oregon.A graduate of Santa Paula High School, Ms. Rybarczyk has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, as well as an associate degree in electronics and a certificate in computer science. She is licensed to teach elementary education, as well as the subjects of biology, chemistry, health, computer science, and electronics, and she has credentials from three states.
Ms. Rybarczyk has taught everything from preschool through adult education. She has taught in Malay while in the Peace Corps, and in a bilingual English/Spanish class. In addition to teaching, she enjoys the “creative challenge of designing a new curriculum and coming up with ways to enhance students’ interest.”
