Villanova Preparatory School students make dresses

Santa Paula News
Published:  June 27, 2012

A dozen Villanova Preparatory School students and mothers convened on campus last Friday to sew dresses for little girls in Africa. Sponsored by the Africa Project club, the group is undertaking to complete 50 dress to support this worthwhile organization.

Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit 501c3, Christian  organization, which provides relief to the children of  Africa. Simple dresses are made out of pillow cases, and distributed through the orphanages, churches and schools in  Africa to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy!

Pictured above are: Elissa Root, Mrs. Mary Catherine Root, Mrs. Roxanne Massar, and Gabriel Orpilla.  Because of the success and enthusiasm of the participants, 12 dresses were completed. Another event will be planned for August in order to reach the goal of 50.
