James Douglas Schwindt, aged 75, passed away at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital November 9, 2014.

Doug was born to James and Esther Schwindt with a sister, Carol. (Carol was known for her association in Santa Paula with Union Oil Company and the creation of the Santa Paula Museum.)

Doug and his family enjoyed many happy years when they transformed the Eliseo School in Wheeler Canyon into a wonderful home and country setting.

His father and two brothers owned and operated the Golden Top Dairy “Home and commercial delivery of Golden Top Dairy milk for many years in the county.  Doug later assisted in the catering supply business.

As a young boy Doug had a severe bicycle accident which limited him slightly.  But he was always cheerful and enjoyed life.

Following the passing of his parents and sister Doug also enjoyed many happy years at the Santa Paula Mobile Home Park.  He is survived by many cousins and friends

Doug was memorable and we bless his passing.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura 805-642-8134.
