Antonia Cabral Marcelo
Our beloved Mother Antonia Cabral Marcelo 84, went to join her many loved ones in heaven on February 12, 2016. She was born on July 19, 1931 in Santa Paula.
She is preceded by Juan and Petra Cabral her parents. John David Cabral, Helen Cabral Rubio, Manuel Cabral (siblings). Raymond A. Ortega, Luis “Louie” R. Serrano, Steven D. Marcelo, Barbara S. Luna (children) and Jose Zepeda (Grandchild).
She is survived by her children: Arthur J. Marcelo (Michelle) Santa Paula, David M. Buelna Santa Paula, Kathy A. Garcia Santa Paula, Elizabeth Diaz (Frank) Covina, Jose “Jojo” Luna Santa Paula and Toña Luna Port Hueneme. Grandchildren: Jackie Ortega, Lisa Ortega, Raymond Ortega, Eric Santos, Desiree Serrano, Steven Marcelo, Robert Marcelo, Arthur Marcelo ll, Steven Chance Marcelo, David Buelna, Vicente Buelna, Mariah Buelna, Esperanza Buelna, Natividad Vera, Lorena ”Nena” Buelna, Cindy Sanchez, Victor Sanchez, Desirae Pacheco, Carlos Venzor ll, Melissa Tarin, Andrew Diaz, Adam Diaz, Sarah Luna, Jonathan Luna, Timothy Luna, Sophia Luna, Anthony Carreon, Christopher Luna, Christina Luna, Mathew Luna and Rosa Zepeda
She enjoyed the love of 49 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many friends she considered family and a life-long friendship with Josephine “Chita” Salazar. She loved to live life as if each day was her last. Many called her Mom and grandma, everyone was welcome into her home and heart. Spending time with her 29 grandchildren gave her the most joy. All of them holding a very special place in her heart. Music and dancing were her favorite pastime and she loved listening the House Arrest Band.
Visitation and Memorial Service will be held February 27, 2016 at Skillin Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, CA commencing at 9:00am with Burial service to follow at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Road.
