Obituaries

Maximino Manuel Osuna Guerrero Sr., age 52, proud resident of Santa Paula, California, joined God and his mighty angels early morning on Wednesday December 7th, 2016.

Max conceded to a hard fought challenge against end stage renal disease, but on his terms with family and closest allies nearby at Santa Paula Hospital.

Max and wife Gloria enjoyed a long fruitful partnership and a marriage that dates back nearly 30 years.  She will forever feel the void left by your absence.  You stood by one another through thick and thin and through it all could not live one day with out each other’s presence.  Your marriage was a true example of unconditional love, which survived the true meaning of, for better or worse, in sickness and in health, and till death do us part.

Max worked 23 years as an Operator-I, 13 of those years for Chevron at Platform Gail, where he stood out and established himself as an innovative technician and master of his craft.  He loved his job, where he forged many friendships, and was proud to say that his company helped establish the future for his family.

Max loved his Dodgers, Lakers, Rams, friends, and most importantly his family.  He welcomed all family and friends with open arms and would never shy away from telling you the truth or lend out a helping hand in a time of need.  He went above and beyond for his family and truly was their heart and soul.  Dad, you were our backbone, our rock, our counselor, our mentor, our father, our grandpa, a loving husband, and a loyal friend.  Your wife, children, grandchildren, and friends love you more then you’ll ever know.  Words cannot explain your importance to our world, but your memories and lessons will continue to be passed on by your loving family.  You will never be forgotten.

Max’s legacy is survived by his loving wife Gloria Guerrero, Daughters: Vanessa Guerrero-Cardenas, Meriya Guerrero, Felicha Nava, Elizabeth Guerrero, Breanna Guerrero, and Sheryl Gonzalez Sons: Max Guerrero Jr., Manuel Guerrero, Joey Gonzalez, Joseph Cardenas, and Gabriel Herrera.  Grandchildren: Cassandra Alamillo, Isaiah Torres, Mia Cardenas, Joshua Cardenas, Anissa Aguilar, Maximino Guerrero III, Ava Guerrero, Anthony Hernandez, Isaac Hernandez, Larissa Hernandez, Celine Zetina and Raymond Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 East Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, CA.
