“We are happy to offer Ventura County Fairgoers plenty of public transit options for a comfortable and stress-free ride to the County Fair” announced County Supervisor Steve Bennett, Chairman of the Ventura County Transportation Commission.

“We are happy to offer Ventura County Fairgoers plenty of public transit options for a comfortable and stress-free ride to the County Fair” announced County Supervisor Steve Bennett, Chairman of the Ventura County Transportation Commission. On Saturdays August 7th and 14th, the VISTA 101 route will provide service to the Fair. The VISTA Hwy. 126 bus and the Coastal Express bus will provide service to the Fair on Saturdays and Sundays, August 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th, as well as limited direct service on weekdays.The special VISTA Fair service includes:• Hwy. 126 buses will stop at the County Fair on both Saturdays and Sundays, August 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th, and during the week, passengers can transfer from the VISTA 126 buses to the free Fair shuttles at the Pacific View Mall.• The Coastal Express service weekday service will stop at the Fairgrounds August 4th through August 13th except during the afternoon commute trips, when passengers can transfer to the Fair shuttles at the Pacific View Mall.
• The Coastal will stop at the County Fair on both Saturdays and Sundays, August 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th all day. All southbound buses will go to the Fair beginning with the bus arriving at 8:11 am. The last southbound Coastal bus will stop at the Fair at 6:15 pm. All northbound coastal buses will stop at the Fair beginning at 1:04 pm until the last northbound bus leaving the Fair at 6:06 pmThe VISTA buses will share the bus stop at the Fairgrounds with the free Fair shuttle buses just opposite the train platform at Seaside Park. VISTA bus fares within Ventura County are $1 one-way for adults with discounted fares for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Coastal Express bus fares from Santa Barbara County are $2 one-way for adults with discounted fares for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Children five years and younger ride free with a fare paying adult. Fares are paid when the bus is boarded or the Countywide “Smart Card” bus pass can be used.More details about the special VISTA bus stops at Seaside Park during the Fair’s run from August 4th through August 15th can be found by checking the Commission’s web site www.goventura.org. or by calling VCTC’s telephone information center at 1-800-438-1112.
