VISTA bus service schedule and routing changes

Starting Monday, January 31, Ventura County bus riders will benefit from further improvements to three of the VISTA services, transit officials announced last week. Service changes will be made to the Highway 126 route (serving Fillmore, Santa Paula and Ventura), the Santa Paula Commuter Bus, and the Conejo Connection route (serving Ventura County and the Warner Center in Woodland Hills). Highway 126 Route:• There will be minor time changes on the weekday 3 p.m. eastbound and 4 p.m. westbound trips.• The 4:33 stop at the Wells Center going to Ventura will be changed to a “drop-off only” stop, allowing the bus to stay on schedule. Wells Center passengers who need to travel to Ventura can instead take the SCAT Route 11 bus which leaves at 4:32.• the Hwy 126 Saturday bus will add a stop at Ventura College on its eastbound trips on an experimental basis.Santa Paula Commuter bus:• A new stop at the Boys & Girls Club will be added on the Santa Paula Commuter bus route.
• The first and last trips on the Santa Paula Commuter bus, along with the stops at West Telegraph/Beckwith, Acacia/Hwy 126, Royal Oaks/Mariposa, and Warren/Harvard will be eliminated.• There will be minor schedule changes.Conejo Connection Route:• There will be routing and schedule changes. The Warner Center “loop” will be revised to provide more efficient service to employment sites in the Center, and more direct service to the 20th Century Insurance building, which is anticipated to double its employees to 2,000 by the end of March.Detailed Rider’s Alerts are available on VISTA buses.
