Actors can now sign up to audition for the Cabrillo Music Theatre production of “Wizard of Oz,” running July 29-Aug. 7 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Actors can now sign up to audition for the Cabrillo Music Theatre production of “Wizard of Oz,” running July 29-Aug. 7 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza. All roles are open to non-equity actors.Auditions for non-equity actors and youth will be held at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, located at 403 Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks . Non-equity actors can audition from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on May 21 and 12-8 p.m. on May 22. Youth can audition from 2-4 p.m. on May 22. Auditions for equity actors will be held from10 a.m.-6 p.m. on May 23 at Screenland II, located at 10501 Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood.All auditions and callbacks are by appointment only. Those with appointments should bring a photograph, resume and sheet music in the proper key. Songs must be limited to one minute, and music must not be on tape. For appointments, call the Cabrillo Music Theatre Audition Line at(805) 497-8615 .Executive Director Hillary Metcalf will produce “Wizard of Oz,” with direction and choreography by Shauna Markey, and music direction by Larry Metcalf. The show will wrap up the 10 th anniversary season of Cabrillo Music Theatre’s Broadway in Your Backyard.
