The Santa Paula Unit of the League of Women Voters will be sponsoring a Candidates’ Forum on Tuesday, October 18 for the two candidates who are running for a vacancy on the Santa Paula Union High School District Board of Education.

The Santa Paula Unit of the League of Women Voters will be sponsoring a Candidates’ Forum on Tuesday, October 18 for the two candidates who are running for a vacancy on the Santa Paula Union High School District Board of Education. The two candidates are Eric Barragan and Douglas Jackson.The forum will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 121 Davis St., at 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The public is encouraged to attend and learn more from each candidate regarding his reasons for running and his positions on issues of interest. Those attending the forum may submit questions for each candidate. Sue Kelly, who holds the position of Voters Service chairman in the Ventura County League, will moderate the meeting.After each candidate makes his opening statement, there will be a brief pause for refreshments and written questions will be gathered and submitted to the moderator, Sue Kelly, who will review the questions to avoid repetition and to allow each candidate to respond to an equal number of questions.
