Rudy Medrano Cardoza Rudy Medrano Cardoza, 52, a lifelong resident of Santa Paula, passed away at Santa Paula Hospital on Sunday, October 15, 2006, with his loving wife and children by his side. Rudy was born on October 25, 1953 in Ventura. He worked for the County of Ventura Flood Control, but his greatest love was for his family.Rudy was preceded in death by his grandma, Rosario Medrano Guerra; aunt, Margie Garcia; mother-in-law Ernestine Morua Huizar; and brothers-in-law Randy Lopez and Ralph “Rafa” Huizar.Mr. Cardoza leaves his wife of 20 years, Marilyn (Peaches), and children Daniel, Ernie and Darlene (Nini) Cardoza, all from Santa Paula; parents, Henry Sr. and Rosario Cardoza of Santa Paula; brothers and sisters, Tina Medrano of Santa Paula, Gilbert (wife Rosa) Cardoza of Ventura, Rosie Cardoza of Santa Paula, and Henry Cardoza of Fillmore; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.The Cardoza family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Noah for the care throughout the years he provided and showed to our loving husband, father, son and friend.We little knew that morningThat God was going to call your name.In live we loved you dearly,In death we do the same.It broke our heart to lose you,You did not go alone,For part of us went with youThe day God called you home.You left us peaceful memories,Your love is still our guide;And though we cannot see you,You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,And nothing seems the same;But as God calls us one by one,The chain will link again.Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27 from 12 to 8 p.m. at Stetler’s Chapel, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, October 28 at Stetler’s Chapel at 11 a.m.Arrangements are under the direction of Stetler Mortuary Funeraria del ángel, 128 S. 8th St., Santa Paula, 525-5595.Jackie Ann Lemons BrownDied peacefully in her sleep after a long illness at her home in Cedar City, Utah at the age of 56.She is survived by her husband, Stanley Brown, a long time business man in Santa Paula, CA. They moved to Utah to retire 3 years ago.Those of us lift behind will miss her very much. This includes her children; Shelby Brown, of Utah, Steven Brown of Hawaii and Susan Brown Moreno of Texas. There are 2 Grandchildren, Jonathan Brown and Ethan Moreno, also 2 Stepsons, Ray and Randy Brown (and their children).Jackie has 4 Sisters, Kay Lemons Holmes of San Jose, Frances Lemons of Camarillo, Bonnie Lemons Flores of Santa Paula, Sheryl Lemons Cunningham of Las Vegas and adopted sister Bobbie Socia of Santa Paula, also several Nieces and Nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Stella Lemons and Brother Doug Lemons.Jackie was a graduate of Santa Paula Union High. She was funny, generous and sometimes outrageous. She is very deeply loved and will be missed extremely. The Memorial Service for Jackie will be held November 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in The Knights of Columbus Hall. 136 South Ojai Street Santa Paula. No flowers please.
