The public is invited to learn more about the progress being made in the fight to conquer Parkinson’s disease at a free seminar the Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, July 15.

The public is invited to learn more about the progress being made in the fight to conquer Parkinson’s disease at a free seminar the Community Memorial Health System is holding on Tuesday, July 15.Robert J. Shorr, M.D., Chief of Neurophysiology at Community Memorial Hospital, will lead the seminar that will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the eighth-floor Nichols Auditorium at Community Memorial Hospital located at 147 Brent St. in Ventura.Dr. Shorr will provide information about the latest medical research being done in seeking a cure for Parkinson’s disease as well as treatment options available. Learn more about the important role of caregivers and realistic expectations about therapy outcomes.
Dr. Shorr has 30 years of clinical practice in Neurology and has specialized training in Electromyography and clinical research. He received his M.D. from the University of California, Davis, and has completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Neurology at USC and UCLA. Dr. Shorr is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.Admission is free, but space is limited, so reservations are suggested.
