The filing period for candidates to file for election ended Wednesday evening, and one more person is on the list for the Santa Paula Union High School District.

Chris Wilson is the final contender to turn in his papers for the SPUHSD Board of Trustees. His filing brings the number of people running for two seats to five. Incumbent Robert Salas is not seeking re-election, which extended the filing period until Wednesday. The other candidates are Catherine Sepulveda (incumbent), Andrew Castaneda, Yolie Cerda and Diana Ponce-Gomez.

There are also five people running for two seats on the Santa Paula Elementary School District. They are: Tim Hicks, Gary Marshall (incumbent), Ofelia de la Torre (incumbent), Ginger Gherardi and Rick Cadman.
