1. They have trained volunteers who can give a caretaker a hand or a rest. (Some bi-lingual)
2. They have sources in the office who can direct you to services available through other organizations, medicare and medical. She will, also, help with paperwork needed for these services.
3. They have a stock of medical equipment loaned, at no cost, when needed.
4. They have a van with a trained driver that will transport those in need to medical appointments. Scheduling is imited to time and space available.
These sources are offered to those who have had surgery, are ill, or have an on going health problem. If they can help in any way with a terminal situation they can be there.
They are not a medical hospice.
The SCVH-Home Support Group is here for the whole community from Santa Paula to Piru. As they offer their services free of charge, they need your support to keep their doors open and hopefully expand. They are located at 133 N. Mill, Santa Paula, (805) 525-1333.
