There is a special event Saturday, September 6 that is ready made for the Earth and those who love it... and it will even benefit an organization that takes care of stray animals.

The free Electronics Recycling Event will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kmart parking lot, 895 Faulkner Road.

All proceeds from this event will benefit C.A.R.L., Canine Adoption Rescue League.

Computers, monitors, cell phones, televisions, MP3 players, ink and toner cartridges, printers, microwaves, cable and wire, ink and toner cartridges, laptops - all electronics! - will be accepted at the event.

Not only will residents be able to offload materials in a free and environmentally friendly way, but they’ll also be helping C.A.R.L.
