Richard Doyle Bennett (Dick) 

Richard Doyle Bennett (Dick) 64, passed away suddenly at home in Santa Paula on August 28, 2014, after a brief illness.  

Born on September 12, 1949, in Springfield Missouri to Glenn and Dorothy Bennett.  Dick had two brothers, Dale Bennett (Connie) and Fred Bennett (Kay), three Nieces Kim, Trisha and Alisa, and two Nephews Christopher and Michael.  He was preceded in death by his Brother Dale, Grandparents Lee and Lena Bennett and Fred and Ola Hendrickson.

He attended Nordoff High School and graduated in 1967.  Dick served his country in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1971.  He met his wife Judy Bass in 1975 and they were married for 38 years.  Dick and Judy loved to travel and collect antiques. They had no children, but had 5 beautiful Pug Dogs that they loved dearly.  Dicks hobby was to collect and restore oil and gas station antiques. You can enjoy some of his collection at the Santa Paula Oil Museum located on Main Street.

Dick will be cremated and placed in the Bakersfield National Cemetery.  A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
