Jennie (Nanus) Nunez
On Sept 5, 2014 the Lord’s Angels greeted his faithful servant, Jennie (Nanus) Nunez, at his Heavenly gates. It is with heavy hearts we have found comfort in the knowledge she has been freed of all pain and suffering. Jennie was born February 18, 1932 and a citizen of Ventura County all her life. She resided in Santa Paula and in 2007 moved to East Ventura with her family. Jennie also retired working 30+ years for the County of Ventura, Dept. of Child Protective Services where she had countless co-workers that she remained friends with even after retirement. She belonged to St. Sebastian Church in Santa Paula where she regularly attended 5:30pm Mass on Saturdays. People all over the County are blessed to have been known by Jennie and her very giving, caring character & generosity. She has touched many people and did God’s work on this earth by telling people about Jesus. Whether it was “God Bless You” or “Dios Que Lo Bendiga” she always brought peace to others with her loving words.
Jennie is preceded in death & welcomed by her Mother Jennie Rivas Nunez, Father Emiterio Nunez, Brother Raymond Nunez and Brother Alex Nunez.
She is survived by her only Daughter, Roberta Quintanilla, Son-in-Law Gilbert Quintanilla, Granddaughter Alexis Marshall, Grandson Marc (Kayla, dtr Hailee) Quintanilla, and her Great Grandson, Pride & Joy Isaac Garcia. Brother Edward (Josie) Nunez, Sister Alma (Yeyo) Lino, Sister Anita Gutierrez, Sister Julia (Bruce) Flores and countless Nieces and Nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Those that she is known by, all know we will see her again.

Rosary service will be held at St. Sebastian Church on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7PM. A funeral service celebrating Jennie’s life will be held the following day on Friday September 12, 2014 at 10:30AM at St. Sebastian Church.
