One person was transported to an area hospital after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle on East Harvard Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

The January 17 accident, according to Sgt. Ken Clark, occurred at 4:37 p.m. near South 10th Street.

Clark said James Fogata of Santa Paula had exited the Chevron gas station on the northwest corner of 10th Street and had turned left out of the station’s lot to travel east.

“As he looped around to get in the eastbound lane, he stopped,” in the westbound lane, unable to complete the turn due to stopped traffic.

The westbound motorcycle said Clark then hit Fogata’s pickup truck.

Santa Paula Fire EMTS and ambulance personnel treated the rider, an Oxnard resident, before he was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with a suspected leg injury.

No one was cited in the collision, which Clark said is still being investigated.
