Gloria Rocha Venegas

We are deeply sadden to announce that Gloria Rocha Venegas, a beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on July 19, 2015 at the age of 53.

Gloria was born on August 20, 1961 in Hanford, CA to Fidencio and Florentina Venegas. Gloria’s childhood was like most mexican-american families in the 60’s and 70’s. She began working at a very young age working in the fields picking fruits and packaging with her father, mother and siblings. She was very close to her parents and her four siblings: Lupe, Richie, and Eva.

Gloria began a family of her own at a very young age of 15. With her husband Richard Jesus Macias she raised their children: Candelario, Richard, Jacob, Marisa, Angelina, and Justin. She enjoyed watching her children grow and as well as her grandchildren, Richard III, Skyla, Sebastian, Isela, Mia, and Jonathan.

People that knew Gloria know that she was a person that was not afraid to speak her mind. She had “no filter with her feelings” and was not afraid to speak up. Not many people have courage to speak exactly what is on their mind and Gloria taught her children to always stand up in what they believe in and most importantly to love unconditionally. Those who know her also knew Gloria was a very caring loving person. She always looked out for peoples best interest and would do anything for her children and I mean anything. Her children were her “sweetness”. She had a very beautiful strong heart.  She was very proud to have Native American Indian heritage, her grandfather Candelario was a full blooded  Comanche. Gloria enjoyed spending time with family especially with her children, grandchildren, and her mother. She enjoyed playing bingo with her husband, going on family adventures, “crusies”, playing solitare, and loved watching her “scary movies”.

She will be deeply missed by her children, and they will do their best to carry on all the goodness she has instilled in them and passing it on to her grandchildren. Rest in peace momma, you’re free now…go with God and save a place for me.

Gloria  is preceded in death by her father Fidencio Venegas, Husband Richard Macias, Son Richard Macias Jr, grandchild Noah Macias, Brothers Lupe, Richie, and Sister Eva Venegas.

Gloria is survived by her mother Florentina Rocha Venegas, Her children: Candelario, Jacob, Marisa, Angelina, and Justin. Her grandchildren: Richard III, Skyla, Sebastian, Isela, Mia, and Jonathan.
