Dale V. McCracken
Dale V. McCracken, 94 of Santa Paula, Ca. passed away March 21, 2016 at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. He was born July 27, 1921 in Grand Island, Nebraska and has been a Santa Paula resident for 20 years, moving here from South Gate, Ca.
Dale was a member of the Santa Paula First Presbyterian Church, the Fillmore-Santa Paula Lodge #291 F.&A.M., Bellflower Lodge #320 F.&A.M. and Vallecito Chapter #185 O.E.S., and was a veteran of W.W.II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He enjoyed traveling, reading, card games and time with his family.
Dale is survived by his wife of 20 years, Bernadine, 1 sister, Betty Shaw of Red Oak, Iowa, 4 Grandchildren, Peggy Hanks of Littlerock, Arkansas, Michael McCracken of St. Mary’s, Georgia, Dennis McCracken of Littlerock, Arkansas and Georgia Kable of Whittier, Ca., Step-Children, Linda Lynch of Malin, Oregon and Gary Cullins of Santa Paula, Ca., 6 Great Grandchildren, and several Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death his first wife, Juanita, daughter, Sharon Fay McCracken, son, Dale Thomas McCracken, 1 sister and his parents.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 30, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, Ca. with Rev. Ron Urzua and Rev. Bob Ramos along with Bellflower Lodge #320 F.&A.M. officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the Santa Paula First Presbyterian Church.
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Santa Paula First Presbyterian Church, or Fillmore-Santa Paula Lodge #291 F.&A.M.
