The Grove at the Glen Tavern Inn Celebrates Grand Opening
February 09, 2007
Santa Paula News
The mood was festive last Wednesday night as the Grove, the new restaurant at the Glen Tavern Inn celebrated their official Grand Opening. Co-owners Eric Barragan and Steve and Pam Colvard were all smiles as guests enjoyed delicious hors d’ouevres, entrees and desserts prepared by Executive Chef Chris Myers, Chef Marty Petri and Chef Richard Colgan. Among the attendees were Ventura County Supervisor Kathy Long, Santa Paula City Councilmember Bob Gonzales and Santa Paula City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz. The Grove owners have generously agreed to donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley. A group of the Club’s “You Go Girls”, as well as “You Go Girl” program facilitators Maricela Juarez and Kate Purcell were on hand to greet guests and sell raffle tickets for a very successful raffle. All present enjoyed the mellow music of Linda Fern Faye during dinner and then the Highway 150 Band, headed up by Paul Skeels and with vocals by Angela Skeels, kept things lively into the night. A great time was had by all ! The Grove is open daily for lunch and dinner. For reservations please call 525-0555.
