William Stanley Jones William S. Jones, a former resident of Santa Paula for 26 years, died on January 13, 2008. He was born on April 8, 1921 in Cumberland, B.C.He was a former grocery store owner in San Francisco. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.He was an amazing man, and loved by all. He was also known by many nicknames, such as “Stan,” “Stan the Man” and “Rope.” He worked for the Santa Paula Unified School District, Ventura Yacht Sales, and Cheap Sports.
William is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Anita Jones. They were married for 65 years. He is also survived by their three daughters, Cheryl McCallum, Barbara Cooper and Joanne Jones; grandchildren, Barrie Bender, Jennifer Bartholomew, Stanton Hartsfield and Alyson Martinez; and great-grandchildren, Kameron Kline, Claire Bender, Ava Kline and Chloe Hartsfield.No services will be held.
