Genevieve C. Stevenson Genevieve C. Stevenson, age 79, of Santa Paula, passed away September 12, 2000 in Santa Paula.She was born on October 2, 1920 in Boston, Massachusetts, and was a county resident for 75 years. She was a homemaker for 60 years.She is survived by her daughters, Linda (husband Don) Yount of Ventura and Brenda (husband Jerry) Webster of Carson City, Nevada; two grandchildren, Starlett (husband Eddie) Gibson of Santa Paula and Damon Yount of Redding; four great grandchildren, Lacey Gibson of Santa Paula, and D. J. Yount, Katelin Yount and Lindsey Yount, all of Chico ; sisters, Reddah Liddell of Santa Monica, Rose Cadman of Avalon, and Eleanor Engles of Buena Park; and brother Mike Rihbany of Montebello.Graveside services were held September 18 at Bardsdale Cemetery, Fillmore.Arrangements under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula.Charles M. FradyCharles M. Frady, age 70, of Santa Paula, passed away September 13, 2000 in Santa Paula.He was born on June 1, 1930 in Neligh, Nebraska, and was a county resident for 40 years. He worked for the Oxnard Press Courier as a printer.He is survived by his wife, Darlene Frady of Santa Paula; daughter Donna (husband Tom) Reed of Ventura; son Martin (wife Kathy) Frady of Santa Paula; grandchildren, Ryan and Shawn Reed of Ventura, and Marty and Celeste Frady of Santa Paula; and sisters, Ruth Woodruff of Pasadena, Stella Hulburd of Dallas, Texas, and June Dressler of Sioux City, Iowa.A memorial service was held September 18 at Skillin-Carroll Chapel, Santa Paula, with Mike Turnbow officiating. Burial was at Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula.
Brian Edward RoinaBrian Edward Roina, age 25, passed away suddenly at his home in Lancaster on September 4, 2000.Brian was born April 24, 1975 in Santa Paula, and lived there until 1994 when he moved to Lancaster. He attended Santa Paula elementary schools and graduated from Gateway in Camarillo.Brian played trombone in elementary school. He loved fast cars and motorcycles. He was a very giving person and would even help strangers in need, especially repairing cars. He loved to have his friends around him, and enjoyed barbecuing at home.He was employed as a machinist at Adams Metallizing & Grinding in Lancaster. He also had worked at Harry’s Car Care in Santa Paula.He is survived by his wife, Juanita, and stepchildren Jeremy and Jessica of Lancaster; mother Betty Roina, brother Peter Roina, and grandparents Edward and Barbara Roina, all of Santa Paula; grandparents Virgil and Adron Dowling of Modesto; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Roina, Jr.Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 20 at 2 p.m. at Santa Paula Cemetery.Arrangements made by Santa Paula Cemetery.Donations may be made to the Santa Paula High School Band.
