Scouts help CASP Boy Scout Troops 302 and 307 (above) collected canned food last Saturday during the annual Scouting for Food drive. Despite the rain the scouts collected the food from 9 a.m. to 12 noon door to door. The canned and packaged food was for the local food bank, Community Assistance of Santa Paula (CASP). Past years have seen thousands of cans or packages collected, reflecting the generosity of the community and this year was no different. Monetary donations are also accepted. CASP sorts the donated food items and, combined with other food staples, they will be rationed out to needy families or individuals in Santa Paula. Photo by Don Johnson
