The girls take on Milken Community this afternoon at 3:00 pm. The game is played at the VA field at Bonsall and MacArthur. Directions (Provided by Milken): Take the 405 south to Wilshire. From Wilshire heading WEST just west of the 405 freeway, veer to the right to enter the VA property. At the stop sign, turn right onto Bonsall Ave. and go north. Continue north on Bonsall about 1 mile until you reach MacArthur. Go straight across MacArthur and enter the parking lot and the field is on your right.

It was a hard-fought contest from the start, but the Lady Cards dominated the game, especially in the first half. The only two goals came in the first half. The first shot came off the foot of junior Iris Magana with an assist from Guadalupe Magana. Taylor Alvarado made the second Santa Paula score with an assist from Iris Magana. Ganesha managed their only goal in the second half and the Lady Cards stopped efforts to tie the game.
“We played well in the first half,” said girls’ Coach Jesus Cordova.
“We were up 2-0, but in the second half we made a couple of changes and it didn’t go in our favor, but we won and that’s what we wanted”
