Formal installation ceremony for Judge Roger L. Lund

The formal installation ceremony for Judge Roger L. Lund will take place on Friday, March 19, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. in Courtroom 22 of the Hall of Justice in Ventura.
The ceremony will be open to the public, elected officials, local bar, and representatives of court-related county departments. The press is invited to attend and to take any desired photographs during these special ceremonial proceedings.
The oath of office will be administered to Judge Lund by Judge John R. Smiley.
Judge Lund was appointed to the bench by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on December 29, 2009. He fills a new judicial position created by SB 56 on September 22, 2006.
Judge Lund served as a commissioner for the Ventura Superior Court since June 2008. Prior to that, he was a principal and officer for the American Law Center from 2004 to 2008 and an associate then principal at the Law Offices of Gose, Lechman and Lund from 1995 to 2008.
Judge Lund earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He is currently assigned to Courtroom S-2 at the East County Courthouse hearing family law matters.
