Alene Rentfrow
Alene Rentfrow was born to Tom and Ellen Griffin on January 7, 1916 in Bolivar, MO. She then met the man of her dreams and got married and moved to California, where she has resided until July 17, 2010, when she went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, three brothers, one sister, her husband Arlo and son Cecil.
Alene was in banking for 25 years and in the early 70s she was named woman of the year!
She is survived by her daughter Shirley Stafford and son Deryl Rentfrow and grandchildren Darla Stafford, Charlene Hulscamp, Shana Stafford, Deryl Rentfrow Jr., Tracy Rentfrow and Delana Stafford. She also has six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Skillin Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula. A graveside service will take place at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, 380 Cemetery Rd., on Saturday, July 24 at 11 a.m.

Virgil L. Barber
Born March 6, 1918 in Adonis, MO. Died July 12, 2010 at home in Ventura. Graveside service will be held at Bardsdale Cemetery in Fillmore on Friday, July 23 at 1 p.m.
Virgil came to Ventura County in 1939 with his new bride Dorotha and his Mother Pearl. He worked as a horse trainer initially, then as a heavy equipment operator, most recently for Rob Frost Construction. In the sixties he became an orange rancher.
He loved fishing and hunting, and most of all his family and friends. He was married to Norma Schell in 1982.
He is survived by his children, Pam Barber, Jim and Dan Hunter, Kathy Lewis, Celia Barber, Cynthia Chessani and Joseph Chaney, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Happy trails Dad; we will all miss you greatly.
