The Santa Paula Theater Center proudly announces its second concert in the 2011 series: the toe tapping music of The Household Gods and Friends, titled “We Still Want Our MTV (and Reinterpret) the Eighties” at the Santa Paula Theater Center, Saturday evening, April 9. Doors open at 7 p.m. with the performance starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Household Gods are five friends who live in Ojai. They have twice been voted by the readers of the Ojai Valley News as Ojai’s best band, and are known for their eclectic mix of acoustic pop.
Their repertoire includes songs by Stephen Foster, Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, Django Reinhardt, Bob Wills, and Bing Crosby. Their concert at the Santa Paula Theater Center will feature original material that reflects their musical influences.
