The first annual Si Se Puede Community 5K Walk/Run Fundraiser, hosted by the Santa Paula Hospital Clinic, is set for Sunday, August 6th the Fillmore Unified School District Office.
Si Se Puede, Santa Paula Hospital Clinic and Santa Paula West Pediatric Clinic are putting on the event. The goal is to raise funds for the Si Se Puede Family Wellness Program, the budding Community Garden project and to increase community awareness and encourage healthy choices among families in Ventura County.
Si Se Puede is a non-profit organization that treats overweight children and youth in the County. It’s an after-school program that provides young participants and their families’ access to pediatricians, personal training and nutrition educators.
The 5K Walk/Run will begin with registration starting at 7:00 a.m. and the race beginning at 8:30 a.m. The course begins at the Fillmore Unified School District Office at 627 Sespe Avenue. Post race events will include food, music, jolly jump and prizes.
