Santa Paula News
The youth organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Santa Paula Ward, participated in a service activity on June 9th. The church’s youth group called Primary, which involves children ages 3 through 11, washed the storefront windows of businesses on Main Street last Saturday. Once a quarter throughout the year, these children gather together for a fun activity, this one being centered toward performing service to the community. The children have the opportunity of learning to give some of their time and energy for the benefit of others, and having a good feeling and an enjoyable day in return. Above photo are Kristopher Mensing (right) and Kameron Mensing (left). They washed the windows of Santa Paula Hardware. Others involved in the project were Kaitlyn Mensing, Rebecca Shuel, Jessica Shuel, Broc Mortenson, Hayden Mortensen, Troy Novak, Jacob Zierenberg, Rodney Zierenberg, Nicolette Zierenberg, Brian Cook, Keith Ashby and Joshua Altis.Photos by Don Johnson
