The Blanchard Community Library in Santa Paula is sporting a new exhibit on  the Shively Memorial wall. Santa Paula Society of the Arts member, Olga Kaczmar, has installed 76 works of art in oils, watercolors and pastels. The exhibit will run until May 30, 2012.

Olga Kaczmar received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications: Electronic Media Program & Production but continued taking classes in figure, landscape and portraits. Currently, art teacher and artwork judge, Olga is devoting time to a more delightful side of art-drawing horses, dogs, cats and people portraits; using timeless tools such as oils, pastels, colored pencils, and watercolor. To view her website, see:  www.olgakaczmar.com.

She has been a graphic artist and advertising manager for 30 years. As a commercial artist, she had produced layouts and renderings for patent applications, ads, exhibits and brochures. Her computer-generated, famine-genocide posters have been shown throughout USA, Canada, Ukraine, France, Australia, and United Kingdom.  In 2007 & 2008, her art was used to promote a film and book on the Ukrainian genocide of 1932. She founded an international organization and maintains a web site to unite relatives & friends lost after World War II.

Founded in June 1968, Santa Paula artists came together to increase their understanding and to improve their work; to encourage artistic growth, and art appreciation in all phases of the arts. Today through their annual juried art show, SPSA invites artists from outside the community.  For more information about SPSA: http://thespsa.com.
