Iantha Dryer Reynolds 

Iantha Dryer Reynolds broke free of her earthly bonds and soared into Heaven in the early morning hours of March 15, 2015. Iantha is at home with her Savior and beloved husband Arlie at last. She was looking forward to her 93rd birthday. 

Born in Louisburg, MO, April 18, 1922 to Nathan and Mary (Lula) Dryer who preceded her in death as did brothers Dewey, and Dale Dryer, and sister Katherine Wheeler. 

Iantha met Arlie Reynolds in May 1937; they married January 28, 1940 in Louisburg, MO. They made Santa Paula their home in August of 1944, and have resided here since. Iantha was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Santa Paula since 1947.  Her goal in life was to live a life that brought others to know Jesus as she did.  Iantha played the piano and had a beautiful voice.  She and Arlie sang in a quartet until Arlie died October 13, 1999.  Iantha then sang with her dear friend Jesse Garrett,  Mom’s beautiful voice filled our home with music and now sings in Heaven.  

She is survived by her children Lary (Karen) Reynolds, Marilyn (Lloyd) Searl, and Harlen (Sylvia) Reynolds.  Grandchildren Vince (Michelle), Rodney (Melissa), Chad Reynolds; Todd and Tonya Stines, Tyler Searl, Cyndi (Cris) Rodriguez, Margo Shirley, Laura (Paul) Batausa, Ronald and William Reynolds.  Sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  

Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, 738 E. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, California.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery, at the corner of Cemetery Rd. and Santa Paula St.  Lunch to follow at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 14840 W. Telegraph Rd., Santa Paula, California.
