Pamela Sue Fischer and Tyrus R. Woods of Santa Paula exchanged wedding vows in a double ring ceremony October 11 in the Pierce Brothers Stetler Chapel in Santa Paula. The Rev. Craig Becker, a Lutheran minister, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Ron Fischer of Oxnard and Betty Sue Fischer, deceased. The groom is the son of David Lee Woods, deceased, and Jacqueline Woods of Lompoc.The bride wore an old-fashioned long sleeve off the shoulder gown, all lace and her veil was attached to an ivory cowgirl hat. She also work a diamond necklace given by her husband as a wedding gift. Her flowers were ivory roses. The groom wore a cowboy tuxedo.Matron of honor was Justyna Marie Woods of Phoenix, Arizona. She wore a rose colored lace dress with boots, and an ivory rose wristband. Flower girl was Keilani Doss of Santa Paula, granddaughter of the bride.Best man was Robert Doss of Santa Paula, who wore a black tuxedo. Usher and ringbearer in cowboy attire were the bride’s grandsons, Shaun and Anthony Doss of Santa Paula.The bride was given away by her son, Robert Doss. Special music was provided by the bride’s niece, Seleta Dobrowsky. A reception was held at Pierce Brothers Stetler.
The bride is a graduate of Northview High School in Covina. She is a member of Soroptimist International of Santa Paula, co-chair of Relay 4 Life 2004 fundraiser and Oxnard Police Department K-9 Foundation. She is employed as an administrator at Pierce Brothers Griffin in Camarillo.The groom graduated from Royal High School in Simi Valley, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a member of Santa Paula Rotary Club, and is affiliated with Hospice of Santa Clara Valley, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Paula, and umpires for Santa Paula Little League. He is the general manager of Pierce Brothers Stetler and Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery.The couple honeymooned for a week in Monterey. The bride noted, “We are now married in this community and consider Santa Paula one of the greatest communities to call ‘our home.’”
