Martha Robinson Cole celebrates 100th birthday

Martha Robinson Cole will be celebrating her 100th birthday on March 29. She was born in Table Grove, Illinois in 1904. At the age of 18 she moved with her family to California, living in Fresno for about one year. The family then settled in Ventura in 1923. Martha worked for the Hobson Bros. as an executive secretary for many years. In 1929 she married Carl C. Cole in Ventura. The Cole family moved to Santa Paula in 1940.Martha and her husband Carl were in the meat and grocery business in Santa Paula for many years. She belonged to several organizations, including P.E.O. and the Ebell Club.In 1999 Martha moved to Fresno to be near her family: her son Richard and his wife Jayne, her grandson Rick, his wife Linda and great granddaughters Anna, Caroline and Sarah, and grandson Brad and his wife Maureen. Martha will celebrate with many friends and family members at a birthday party to be held at the Holiday Inn in Visalia on March 27.
