Man trying to remove clothes chased down by police at graduation

A 21-year-old Santa Paula man, Jacob Macias, was arrested at the Santa Paula High School graduation Friday. Macias jumped the security barrier from the grandstands at the football field and ran onto the north end of the field. As he started to remove his clothing, police officers and security personnel gave chase. Macias ran to the south end of the field, as the graduation ceremonies came to a halt, running through the area where graduates were seated.He was finally subdued by Santa Paula Police officers and handcuffed. He was arrested for disturbing school operations, willful disturbance of educational ceremonies and resisting arrest and taken to the County Jail in Ventura.School officials reportedly had been warned that someone might attempt to streak at the ceremonies, but didn’t know whom or when it would happen.
Macias is a graduate of Santa Paula High School and played on the baseball and football teams.
