Both the 11-year-old and the 12-year-old Santa Paula Little League All-star teams are advancing in District 63 tournament play.
The 11-year-old division games are being hosted by the Santa Paula Little League. Santa Paula won their first game over Montalvo 5-3 and went on to get past Foothill 4-3 in a game that went into extra innings.It was unknown at press time if Santa Paula would advance to the championship game, set for this Sunday at 1:00 p.m.The 12-year-old division games are being hosted by the Fillmore Little League. Santa Paula started out with a close loss to Fillmore, dropping the game 1-0. They came back over the weekend to beat Foothill 8-3. Allen Gwynn pitched for Santa Paula, striking out 12 batters. Albert Carrillo went 3-4 with two RBIs, David Trejo was 3-3 with a home run and two RBIs, Aaron Gomez went 1-3 with two RBIs, Anthony Saenz was 1-2 with a single and Joey Arredondo went 1-2 with a home run and an RBI.
