Girls take undefeated season to championship round

The Santa Paula AYSO Under-19 girls’ soccer team “Xtreme” has plenty to shout about.
The team this year became the area champions and won second place in the Southern Section Tournament.The girls were undefeated in league play with an 8--0 record, including four shutouts. They scored a total of 32 goals and allowed only four against them. They defeated Santa Barbara in the Area Championship Game 3-0 to qualify for the Southern Section Tournament, held in Lancaster.In Lancaster the SP “Xtreme” won their first three games and moved on to the Sunday semi-final match. They beat Agoura/Westlake 2-1 and advanced to the championship game against Simi Valley.
