Xtreme soccer club places third at tournament

The Santa Paula Xtreme girls’ soccer team won third place at a recent 12-team tournament. The Xtreme won their first two games against Ontario and Fontana and tied 1-1 against San Diego to advance to the semi-finals. The next day they lost to San Diego 1-0 and then defeated El Monte for third. Christine Buenrostro scored six goals in the tourney. Team members are Jessica, Susie, Myra, Joanna, Maria, Chela, Aimee, Biana, Meche, Becky, Christine, Yesenia, Marycruz, Jeannie and Celina. Coaches are Chuy and Mecho.
