Blooming Pride coming to Harvard Blvd. Volunteers needed Saturday
September 29, 2010
Santa Paula News
America in Bloom, Santa Paula will be targeting Harvard Boulevard on October 2nd.
Harvard is the main thoroughfare through our city and we want it to look welcoming with a sea of colorful flowers. Our first four projects on Harvard will be done during the Santa Paula Beautiful day that the city sponsors each year. Enterprise Strip Mall and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts will be the first two businesses to receive a landscaping face lift. Teague Park will also benefit with planting that will spruce up the area. Isbell School’s Harvard frontage will be donned with bright and attractive flowers to make the students even more proud of their wonderful school.
Our mission is to partner with dedicated and resourceful residents, businesses, organizations, churches, schools and city staff in the task of beautifying the city, displaying civic pride and increasing environmental awareness. We have a two year target fulfill this mission and it can only be done if each of its citizens pitches in and does their part.
WILL YOU DO YOUR PART?
