Manuel Rabago
Manuel Rabago passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at his Santa Paula home on June 19, 2013. Manuel was born to Jesus Haros Rabago and Josephine Rivera Tapia on August 24, 1943 in Florence, Arizona. He spent 67 years of his life in Santa Paula, California.
Manuel worked as a machine operator for 3M before retiring. He was also a veteran who served in Germany as a member of the United States Army. Manuel was known as a quiet soul with a gentle heart who had an endless passion for reading books and writing poetry. Manuel leaves behind his family, friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents Jesus Haros Rabago and Josephine Rivera Tapia; his brothers Alfredo Tapia Rabago, and Theodore Rabago, who was killed in action during the Korean War, and his sister Elvira Ayala. Manuel is survived by his two sons Jamie (Francine) and Eddie (Antoinette) Rabago; his loving brothers Arthur Tapia Rabago (preceded - Anna), Robert Tapia Rabago (Catherine), and Alfredo Jesus Tapia Rabago (Kathy); sisters Nicassia Tapia Rabago (Francisco), Frances Tapia Rabago (preceded - Rudy), and Rosie Tapia Rabago (Antonio); six grandchildren, Mariah, Arriana, Taylor, Edward, Nathan, and Destiny Rabago; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 28th at Life Way Baptist Church, 673 W. Santa Paula St., Santa Paula, CA. A reception will follow at the family residence at 1 p.m. at 525 Guiberson St., Santa Paula.
