Patrick Sean Coffey

Patrick Sean Coffey passed away, unexpectedly, to be free of pain and suffering in this world, on December 16, 2016. He was born in Norwich Ct to his parent’s Pat H Coffey and Ruthanne Thompson on March 31, 1984. He was only 32 years old.

Some people manage to fit a lifetime of dreams in a short span on earth, and that was Patrick. As a teen, he met his best friend Robert Moon and they shared a lifetime of experiences together. They both loved camping, boating and fishing – luckily there was a river right outside Pat’s front door in Norwich. They eventually began working together in the construction field in Washington state so they could be closer to nature. Patrick was also skilled at archery and working on his Nissan 240. His Nissan gave him the chance to relax as he worked on it till the last shades of dusk would appear on the horizon. Then to un-relax he would take it on wild rides and in the fields, to make it drift better. Ah Patrick.

Eventually he left Washington State to live with his father in Bardsdale. Pat H needed help on the orange ranch that had been in the family for years, and the construction business was drying up due to the recession. He got a job learning plumbing which he quickly excelled at.  It was while there he met the girl of his dreams, and despite everyone’s warnings, he married the boss’s daughter – Kimberly Ann Oliver. Kim and Pat loved online gaming, archery and just hanging on the ranch. Oh, and watching the Celtics win.  They were married in 2013 and in January 2015, they welcomed a son, Liam Owen Coffey who, like his Dad, was a fighter and when he entered the world six weeks early, he survived.

Patrick will be missed by many and leaves behind his wife, Kim, son Liam, Father, Pat, Mother, Ruthanne, sister Channel Coffey, Grandparents Si and Kathy, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, a niece, and his best friend Robert Moon. We are rejoicing in his spirit being free in Christ.

A celebration of life and reception will be held at Bardsdale United Methodist Church on Saturday January 21, 2017 at 11am.The address is 1498 Bardsdale Ave, Fillmore, CA, 93015. Please dress as Patrick would have liked – be comfortable!

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Bardsdale Church which has kindly volunteered many of its services for the family, or to your favorite charity.
