Our Beautiful Angel, Yolanda Marie Moreno, passed away peacefully at her home in Santa Paula, surrounded by her loving family, on January 24, 2017, following a courageous battle against cancer.  

Yolanda was born on August 20, 1946, in Santa Paula, California, to Richard V. Martinez and Lupe Herrera Martinez.   Yolanda was a lifelong resident of Santa Paula.  She graduated from Santa Paula High School in 1963.  Yolanda married Emilio Moreno in 1970.  She was a homemaker, and enjoyed caring for her family.  She was a  devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend.  

Yolanda enjoyed spending time with all of her family.  She loved each and every one of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews in her own special way.  Everyone in her life held a special place in her heart.  You could often find her in the kitchen passing on her kitchen skills to her Princess Annysa Marie, and making sure that she knew that every meal was made with lots of love!  She always encouraged everyone to be the best that they can be, and always offered a shoulder to lean on. 

Yolanda is survived by her husband, Emilio Moreno, daughter, Lupe (Javier) Cardenas, sons, Emilio Jr. (Ruby), Raul, Gene (Paula).  She will also be dearly missed by her mother, Lupe Herrera Martinez, brothers, Richard Jr., and Kenny and sister, Cindy Martinez.  Grand children, Richie (Marivi) and Aiden, Eddie and Annysa Marie Cardenas, Sabrina, Carina and Charlie “Chuck” Moreno, Anthony, Geno, Mary Jane and Gabriel Moreno, David, Chris and Pepper Moreno.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard V. and brother, Ronnie Martinez.

 Visitation will be held from 1pm-5pm, Thursday February 3, 2017 at Church of Angels, 600 E. Pleasant Street, Santa Paula followed with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 427 N. Oak Street, Santa Paula.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am, Friday, February 3, 2017 also at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Alex Amayun, C.R.I.C. officiating. Committal and Interment will follow at Santa Paula Cemetery.
