Are the numbers on your watch becoming difficult to read? If you or someone you know are dealing with the effects of vision loss, Braille Institute can help. Free low vision consultations will be available Monday, January 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Santa Paula Community Center, 530 W. Main Street.During one-hour private sessions, a Low Vision Rehabilitation specialist will assess visual skills, offer techniques to make the most of existing vision, determine what low vision devices are needed to complete daily tasks and make recommendations. Consultants also will offer demonstrations of operating devices that enlarge printed material, such as lighted magnifiers and closed-circuit televisions.
