According to SPPD Lieutenant Troyce Reynolds, officers responded at about 1:15 a.m. on May 16 to a “fight call” at Sancho’s Bar, located on the 100 block of West Harvard Boulevard.“When officers arrived on scene,” Reynolds said they found Jennifer Birlin, 35, of Ventura, and Jennifer Omdahl, 36, of Oxnard, “being held by other patrons.” Officers were told the women were disturbing the peace and challenging other bar patrons to fight.
While officers were investigating the incident bar patrons pointed out a third woman whom they said had identified herself as a Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy. The woman, 42-year-old Gina Hernandez of Ventura, “when contacted by officers, said she was a Las Vegas Metro Officer working undercover,” but officers determined the statement was untrue.Hernandez was arrested for impersonating a police officer, and Birlin and Omdahl were taken into custody for disturbing the peace.
