St. Sebastian School tribute

Mrs. Orozco and her third grade class at St. Sebastian School made a tribute to Our Lady of Guadalupe on her feast day December 12. During mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Santa Paula, the students, wearing colorful Mexican costumes, reenacted the appearance of Mary to Juan Diego in Mexico in the year 1531. Characters in the reenactment included Mary, portrayed by Luz Maria Magaña; Juan Diego - Roy Perez; Bishop - Ryan Nuñez; and narrators, Kimberly Gonzales, Randall Hernandez, Gabby Holguin, Al and Nancy. The celebration was breathtaking as the Mariachí 2000 accompanied guest singer Sonia Padilla in singing her offerings to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
