Lady Cards move on to CIF Round Two after win

The Lady Card softball team shut out visiting Westridge 3-0 in last week’s First Round CIF Division 6 playoff game, played in Santa Paula.
Marissa Ramos pitched a complete 7-inning shutout game with 6 strikeouts, with Andrea Rodriguez behind the plate.
The Lady Cardinals scored all 3 runs in the first inning with Felicia Magana and Andrea Rodriguez both getting on base with singles. Miranda Magana then knocked in an RBI with a double, bring in Magana and A.J Payne got on base with an error scoring 2 more runs. The Lady Cardinals’ defense played solid with no errors.
Top Santa Paula batters: A.J. Payne went 1 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs. Miranda Magana went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Felicia Magana went 1 for 2 with a run scored.
