Veteran's Day celebrated at Veteran's Memorial Park

The annual Santa Paula Veterans Day program took place at Veterans Park again this year and was well attended by both vets and community members. The event was put on by the Mercer-Prieto VFW Post #2043 and the Korean War Veterans Association. VFW Post Commander Ralph Leon recited a history of Veterans Day, originally called Armistice Day, marking the end of World War I. The Veterans Day observance featured the Santa Paula High School band and the Isbell Middle School Condor Chorus, under the direction of Donna Nelson.
